Starting off with Daevid Allen and his joyous anthem "Deya Goddess" From the "Good Morning" Album.

I am told by Gilli Smyth that Daevid and Gilli lived next door to Robert Graves during their time in Deya Mellorca.
Since I have invoked her name, next up we have Gillis band "Mother Gong" performing "She's the Mother of . . ." reminding us all that the entire spectrum of the worlds Divine figures all had Mothers!
Next I present a rather obscure piece by Nina Hagen. Taken from her CD "Om Namah Shivay" which was originally only available on her website. It has been reissued and is now available from Amazon.
Kali Durge, namo namah

Jai! Mata Kali
Jai! Mata DurgeFollowing in an Eastern theme is the TransGlobal Underground Remix of Ja Sha Tan. Truly an eclectic offering since it is the vocal stylings of the late peaceful warrior Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan accompanied by beats created by self stylized "esoteric terrorists" FunDaMental. But its just such a tasty cut it makes me happy. I dare you to try and not move your body and shake your ass while this cut is playing - I just DARE you!
West Coast Mystic Mix masters AXIS MUNDI next with "Calling The Ancients". Careful you don't trance out to far, these Ancients are clearly some of the more powerful ones!
Lightening up a bit from that heavy excursion into the underworld I offer a fun techno diversion, circa 1990, of the old standard "Fascinating Rhythm" from Bassomatic (Produced by William Orbit)
Lets head back into Nina Hagen Territory to serve up some "Cosma Shiva" because I'm just not ready to get too normal with this months playlist.
Now a real treat - African Head Charge sings us "Dervish Chant" from their acclaimed CD "Songs of Praise" their fifth album which features religious chants from all four corners of the Earth.
Next up is a remarkable item from an extraordinary CD. "Initiation" from the CD "Winds Of Warning".

It seems that I cannot put out a playlist without at least one solid Albion Country Band tune. I've done this one before, but I love it. "Albion Sunrise".
Coming near to the end of this musical excursion is Dougie MacLean
http://www.scottishsongwriter.com/and his infectous tune "All Together now".I culled this from the compilation CD "Folk N Hell"
http://www.scottishsongwriter.com/And we end this occasion with another Daevid Allen piece titled "You Never Existed At All". This piece was heavily influenced from Daevids New york experiences when he lived next door to William Burroughs who utters the "FINAL words of the piece.
What I want to know is what is Daevids secret that over the course of his life he keeps getting moving next door to cultural icons! Robert Graves - William Burroughs !! I'll have some of what HE'sS smoking!
