I have seen many adamant claims amongst witches that they do not worship any god/s and never would submit themselves to such. This has often made me wonder how much is ego and how much is a true understanding of gods and the nature of gods (not to mention one's own personal understanding of the word "worship"). It has also made me wonder whether I, myself, worship.
I devote, about that there is no question. I respect. Sometimes I am in awe. But how would I define worship for myself? To put something before myself? Well, there are a lot of things that could fit that catagory, especially kids and grandkids. To put something above myself? I don't know that god/s are necessarily "above" us as we are all divine to an extent, some more than others lol. I suppose, rightly or wrongly, I look at worship as an extremely deep and profound expression of love. And if that is my definition, then I do worship.
